SUNSHINE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTRIES 2026

QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY

Pre-qualification and participation in a championship class is required to compete at the Sunshine Tour Championships. Each qualification number allows you to enter one championship class at the same level as your qualification, or at a higher level if eligible. You may compete on different days and in different Tours, subject to certain restrictions.

Restrictions: Both the horse and rider must meet the eligibility criteria for each class entered. It is your responsibility to ensure you comply – see Qualification Restrictions at www.sunshinetour.co.uk for clarification. Link HERE. If you are found to be competing in a class for which you or your horse are not eligible, your entry may be cancelled without a refund, and any placings or prizes already awarded may be forfeited.

Qualification is not a guarantee of your entry being accepted. Some classes may fill before the closing date. If your class is full, there might be an alternative class to choose or you can join a waiting list.

Online Entries for Classes Open: Saturday 15th August. By entering online you will know immediately if your entry is successful. Different disciplines may open at slightly different times. Available via this page and Facebook Group.

Online Bookings for Stabling & Camping Open: Friday 14th August. Bedding, hay, camping & electric hook-up can be booked via the stabling system. Available via this page and Facebook Group.

Postal Entries Open: Sunday 16th August. Download the entry from this page (published prior to the show); we recommend recorded delivery; there is an admin fee. You can post your entry prior to the opening date, but entries are processed on the 16th. You will not know if your entry is successful until confirmed by Sunshine Tour.

Entries for Classes Close: Online & Post: Tuesday 18th August.

Bookings for Stabling & Camping Close: Online & Post: Wednesday 9th September.

Waiting List & Late Entries: Subject to availability, waiting list & late entries may be offered during the period 19th – 28th August.

Withdrawals After Initial Closing Date: Withdrawals are only accepted for acute medical conditions and must be submitted in writing accompanied by vet’s or doctor’s evidence. Withdrawals submitted: 19th – 24th August may be eligible for 75% refund; 25st to 31th August 50% refund; 1st to 7th September 25% refund; 8th September onward – no refund for any reason. Evidence to support a withdrawal must be submitted by 30th September.

Amendments After Initial Closing Date: Only minor amendments accepted, subject to organisers discretion and may incur a £5.00 fee.
